Hello, my name is Chelsea... as I'm sure you've already figured out! I'm a painter currently living and working in my hometown in the mountains of Virginia. I love all forms of art but painting has been my main focus for the past few years. Most of my recent work is abstract and non-objective because I particularly enjoy the freedom of expression that this style of painting gives me!.... plus it looks awesome when I'm decorating my place! ;) (My art professors are probably cringing as they read that, haha).
Recently, I graduated from college so I'm transitioning between being an 'art student' to now being considered a 'professional artist.' I figure I will just continue to do what comes naturally and that is.. make art. When I'm not slinging paint, I'm probably working my day job, haha, or spending time with my family. My faith is very important to me and I'm very interested in things such as social justice and higher education. I could not live without music and I believe you can't laugh too much! Oh, and how could I forget... Traveling thrills me like no other (but I'm always equally happy to return back home to the mountains)!
